We are seeking qualified Solicitors with a strong background in immigration law and keen to learn other areas of law to join our dynamic and high-performing team.
Key duties will include but not limited to:
Consult with clients to assess the nature and scope of their legal matters, particularly in
relation to immigration law, and provide tailored, strategic legal advice.
Prepare and manage cases by conducting detailed legal research, gathering supporting
documentation, drafting legal submissions, and liaising with the Department of Home
Affairs and other relevant authorities.
Represent clients in various legal settings, including courts and administrative tribunals
such as the Administrative Reviews Tribunal (ART), ensuring strong advocacy and case
strategy.
Prepare and submit high-quality applications and legal representations to the home
affairs and various immigration authorities.
Maintain professional and ongoing communication with clients, keeping them informed
of case developments, timelines, and outcomes while upholding high standards of
confidentiality and care.
Collaborate with fellow solicitors, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient firm
operations and contribute to a collegial, team-oriented workplace culture.
Keep up to date with developments in immigration law, policy, and case law.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of experience working as Solicitor
* A valid Australian Practicing Certificate
* Strong knowledge of Australian immigration legislation, policy, and case law.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting complex legal documents including visa applications, appeals, and judicial review submissions.
· High level of professional integrity, discretion, and commitment to client service.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Salary:
Salary: $77000 to $85,000salary annually exclusive of superannuation
