Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site
Credit Analyst
role based in Surfers Paradise, QLD. The role sits within the private credit team and is responsible for assessing property-backed loan applications across short-term mortgage and construction finance transactions.
Key responsibilities include detailed financial and cash-flow analysis, assessment of borrower structures and exit strategies, review of valuations and security positions, and preparation of credit papers for senior credit committee approval. The Credit Analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders, brokers, and external consultants to support informed credit decisions while ensuring alignment with internal credit policy and investor requirements.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of credit risk and underwriting principles within property-backed lending
* Demonstrated analytical capability, including financial statement analysis and cash-flow assessment
* Experience assessing security, LVRs, exit strategies, and transaction structures
* Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to articulate risk and rationale in credit submissions
* Ability to work efficiently under time pressure in a deal-driven environment
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline preferred
* Prior experience in private credit, non-bank lending, commercial banking, or property finance highly regarded
