We are currently seeking candidates specifically for our afternoon and night‐shift rosters.
The Position
* Assists with safe and tidy storage of supplies within the unit.
* Performs housekeeping duties throughout the unit in accordance with Statement of Duties and Cleaning Standards Victorian Health Facilities.
* Ensures that the patient room is presented as per hospital standards.
* Participates as a valued team member promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment.
* Communicates effectively with all caregivers, customers and patients using the appropriate channels, utilising appropriate formal and informal channels of communication.
* Participates in the documentation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for activities that could pose an OHS risk.
* Works in a supportive team environment with basic knowledge of chemical usage and effective communication skills.
You will bring knowledge of safe work practices, infection control, and housekeeping standards, as well as high‐quality cleaning skills and experience using cleaning equipment. To succeed in this role, you will be able to plan and prioritise your work effectively, demonstrate strong organisational skills, and be willing to work additional or alternative shifts when required. Above all, patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our mission and values.
