Job DescriptionThe Role
We are seeking a Human Resource Manager to lead HR strategy, employee relations, and workforce development across IHM Australia. This role will partner with executive and senior leaders to deliver best-practice HR frameworks, ensure Fair Work compliance, and strengthen organisational culture in a regulated education environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end HR operations
* Drive HR strategy, workforce planning, and organisational development
* Provide expert advice on Fair Work Act, NES, Awards, and industrial relations
* Coach and support leaders in performance management, underperformance, and capability development
* Manage employee relations, performance management, grievances, and investigations
* Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies
* Deliver learning & development, engagement, wellbeing, diversity & inclusion initiatives
* Ensure compliance with TEQSA, higher education standards, and internal policies
* Manage HR systems, reporting, and people analytics
* Partner with leaders on change management and capability uplift
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
* Masters in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
* 7–10+ years' HR leadership experience
* Strong expertise in Australian employment law & industrial relations
* Proven experience in higher education, healthcare, or regulated sectors
* Demonstrated success in employee relations, policy development, and compliance
* Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capability
