A challenging opportunity exists for a skilled Motor Mechanic/Diesel Fitter to join our Transport Workshop team at Southport.
This full-time role will see you working on Hymix Transport Concrete Agitator equipment as a permanent member of our team, Monday to Friday with overtime as required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for determining vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
Key responsibilities include:
* Determining vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests;
* Keeping equipment available for use by completing scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance;
* Attending equipment breakdowns and conducting repairs in a timely manner;
* Assisting Leading Hand in the ordering of parts for servicing and repairs.
We are seeking an individual with trade qualifications as a Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised.
The role also requires the candidate to possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify hazards and implement safe work procedures.
To be considered for this role, the candidate must have a valid car license and own transport.

Requirements:
1. Trade Qualified Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
2. Ability to perform minor, major mechanical, electrical fault finding and minor welding and fabricating
3. Good communication skills (written and oral)
4. Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised
5. Recognise problems/issues, analyse, formulate and implement appropriate solutions
6. Possess a strong process/task orientation
7. Identify hazards and implement safe work procedures
8. Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
9. Must have car License and own transport
Work Environment:
