Your role
A 13-month, full-time internship opportunity is available within Cummins' Aftermarket sales team, commencing January 27th, 2025, at the Scoresby office. This internship is well-suited for undergraduate Business in Sales or Marketing students looking to gain valuable experience and jumpstart their careers.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will make an impact and gain experience in the following ways:
* Supporting the after-market sales team on customer visits.
* Preparing presentations for the wider aftermarket team.
* Following up on sales leads and understanding what’s their focus.
* Researching and understanding of the customer segments including highway, Power Generation, Mining and marine.
* Learning how to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to win and maintain new and existing business.
* Better understand sales strategies, and how to uncover sales growth opportunities.
* How to create effective customer travel call plans and create meaningful CRM entries.
* Learn how to prepare for customers face-to-face, Phone calls and or virtual meetings.
* Learn how to understand sales reports and how to prepare effective presentations.
About you
To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:
* Are currently studying a Degree in Business or other relevant discipline, ideally at an undergraduate level
* Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete your undergraduate degree as of January 2025
* Are available for the full 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration?
To be successful in this role, you will possess skills/abilities or be able to perform:
* Understanding and driving sales and business development
* Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
* Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong computer literacy and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
* Outstanding interpersonal skills, a teamwork ethic, and the ability to think and operate autonomously and independently when required with a drive for success and a passion to help support internal and external stakeholders collaboratively.
This is a 13-month, full-time, paid placement and the successful candidate will be required to defer their studies for the duration of the program.
