This highly experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical & Avionics – will work in Newcastle, NSW, supporting the operation of Leonardo AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters. The position requires a proactive, flexible, disciplined professional driven to succeed in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs on client aircraft to ensure compliance with regulations and technical publications, maintaining aircraft readiness and operational availability.
Accurately document all maintenance tasks, ensuring work sheets, logs, tracking systems, and other required records are completed and submitted promptly.
Work collaboratively with managers, engineers, pilots, and emergency service teams to optimize aircraft availability and performance.
Support base operations by preparing tasks, maintaining stores, and performing ground support equipment maintenance essential for ongoing operations.
Maintain accountability for tool control and ensure the cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of hangars, workshops, related workspaces, and vehicles.
Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to the safety management system and other company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience in Heavy Maintenance and worked on the fleet of four Leonardo AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters.
CASA licensed on the AW139.
Strong team player.
Ability to follow supervisory direction.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Consistent positive and proactive attitude.
Passion for safe work practices.
Valid work visa.
Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain).
Current Australian Driver's licence.
Additional qualifications:
Candidates must be willing to commit to flexible working arrangements and be available to work in Newcastle, NSW.
