About the role:
As our Youth Development Support Officer, you will provide vital administrative and operational support to our Youth Development Supervisor. You will help deliver engaging programs, maintain safe and welcoming youth spaces, and contribute to the wellbeing and development of our local young people.
As our facilities are open on weekends and some evenings, you will be required to have flexibility to work weekends and varied hours.
Your days will be varied and will include:
* Supporting the planning and delivery of youth programs and events.
* Promoting compliance with youth policies and behaviour management strategies.
* Conducting safety checks, maintain equipment, and manage incident reporting.
* Assisting with staff inductions, volunteer coordination, and professional development.
* Facilitating community events and promote youth initiatives via media platforms.
* Liaising with parents, service providers, and local agencies as needed.
* Providing first aid and emergency evacuation support.
* Collecting and reporting youth engagement statistics.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services or related field.
* Experience working with youth and delivering programs.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to oversee staff and volunteers.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
* Flexibility to work weekends and varied hours.
Pre-employment requirements:
* National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
* Working with Children Check
* Current C Class Driver's Licence (LR with F endorsement desirable)
* Senior First Aid including CPR
* Pre-employment medical screening (City-funded)
