The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on financial operations, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the business.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day financial operations across group entitiesProcess and review financial transactions, including accruals and journal entriesManage general ledger, month-end close, and inter-company reconciliationsMaintain fixed asset registers and process monthly depreciation journalsOversee payroll processing, superannuation, and related reportingPrepare and lodge BAS, payroll tax, and FBT returnsSupport compliance requirements (GST, FBT, income tax) and financial auditsProvide accurate and timely financial information to senior managementContinuously improve financial processes and reporting systemsSupport onboarding/offboarding of employees from a financial compliance perspectiveThe Ideal CandidateYou are a proactive and detail-driven finance professional with a strong foundation in accounting and reporting.
You might currently be operating at the Finance Manager level, or you could be a capable finance professional (Finance Officer, Accountant, Assistant Manager) looking for a role with more breadth, ownership, and impact.What matters most is your ability to work independently, maintain accuracy under pressure, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not essential)CA/CPA qualified or working towards (highly regarded)Experience in BAS preparation, payroll, and general accountingFamiliarity with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)Intermediate to advanced Excel skillsStrong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting standardsExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a hybrid environmentWhat's in it for you?
