We are seeking interested applicants for the role of Cotainer Hoist operator based in the Welshpool depot, Perth.
Please note this role will commence as a casual role with the opportunity to convert to Full Time at 3 months.
The transition will be upon successful achievement of learning goals in the first 3 months for the role and assessment of suitability to the role.
These learning goals will be shared with the successful candidates
This role may require occasional weekend work.
What's involved?
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main purpose of the role will require our successful candidate to operate our heavy forklift for 16-tonne container movement safely & efficiently within the depot, the actioning of the daily in and outturns of containers for the warehouse in preparation for on road delivery, ensuring the accurate location of containers in the warehouse yard, actively participating in the storage and inventory of personnel household belongings, preparing the next day's jobs as per the scheduled run sheet ensuring that containers and required documentation is prepared, maintain a high standard of safety when handling and stacking containers & using the site traffic management plan, accurately receipting of inbound goods from suppliers and operations crews.

They will have the following skills and attributes:
Valid forklift licence with the minimum qualification to operate 16-tonne container hoist.
Previous experience driving a forklift with spreader
Experience in household goods warehousing or a similar warehousing workplace is desirable
A team player who supports an efficient and safe workplace
Ability to work independently and to deadlines
Be a highly enthusiastic & motivating individual
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail & time management skills
