Overview
Senior Manager Data Capability role at Bendigo Bank. Part of the Finance Division, Group Reporting, creating a Centre of Excellence to provide trusted, value-add Business Intelligence that supports data-driven operational and strategic decisions. The Senior Manager Data Capability will: work across Finance with Senior Business Leaders (Data Custodians) to uplift data management practices, improve data usage and accuracy to inform operational and strategic decisions, and coordinate with Data Custodians outside Finance as a consumer of data develop a prioritised and sequenced road map and implementation plan to unlock incremental value and uplift Finance data governance maturity; lead the execution activities with a virtual cross-functional team define and measure success and report on value delivered and uplift in maturity across the division Position type: permanent full time with hybrid working options (minimum three days per week) based at Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo, Brisbane or Sydney corporate offices. Partner with business stakeholders to deliver data governance, quality, and usable data for decision-making Lead data capability initiatives from planning through delivery with cross-functional teams Establish and monitor metrics to demonstrate value and maturity uplift What you’ll bring
Solid experience in a Data Analyst, Data Quality or Data Governance role Ability to lead project teams and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business value and insight Ability to create a productive team environment and coordinate resources across areas Experience with data warehousing concepts, SQL/querying relational databases and BI tools Demonstrated experience with Collibra or similar Data Governance tools Strong verbal and written communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement Practical issue-resolution approach focused on timely benefits to the organization Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent experience Benefits
