Provide executive support to the Office of the Regional Director, ensuring the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of Service Area strategies, policies and procedures. As a Senior Advisor (Operational) you will ensure the efficient, effective, consistent and integrated provision of accommodation support services.
This position is part of the Service Area Disability Services Accommodation Support (DSAS) team. The Service Area covers Service Centres across the region.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Advisor (Operational) you will:
* Develop and maintain information systems, guidelines, rules, procedures, resources and tools to ensure requests for information are responded to in a timely and efficient manner.
* Undertake projects as requested by the Regional Director of the Service Area.
* Assist in the review of Service Area and Service Centre strategies, practices and procedures in relation to the delivery of services to people with a disability to ensure an integrated and consistent system.
* Plan, undertake and report on projects as identified by the Service Area.
* Contribute to the development of operational plans and strategies to address the integration of planning processes which are consistent with departmental goals and objectives.
* Assist in the implementation of appropriate quality monitoring mechanisms and evaluation procedures, including service evaluations.
* Assist in the identification of Service Area and/or Service Centre priorities and planning in the delivery of services.
* Represent the Service Area in meetings and/or forums with government and nongovernment agencies and promote a positive public image of the Department.
* Identify risks and provide assistance in the coordination of risk mitigation strategies to ensure safeguards are maintained, and efficient, quality service delivery continues to be achieved.
* Recognise and contribute to the DSAS Governance Structure, supporting quality outcomes for staff and participants through the delivery of quality services and continuous improvement.
This process will also be used for other temporary short term vacancies over the next 12months.
