The opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established, privately owned construction business with a strong pipeline of residential, medium-density and community housing projects. The business has a long-standing presence in the market, a loyal and experienced team and a reputation for delivering quality outcomes without compromising on workmanship or integrity.
They are now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of projects and play a key role in the next phase of growth. This is a senior, trusted position for someone who enjoys running construction operations, leading teams on site and delivering work they are proud to stand behind.
This role is based in Townsville, North Queensland. The business is open to candidates relocating from Brisbane or elsewhere in Queensland and will support the right person through the transition. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager seeking long-term stability, lifestyle balance and the chance to play a key role in a growing, values-driven organisation.
Key responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day construction delivery across residential and medium-density projects
* Manage site operations, construction programs and sequencing to ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard
* Coordinate and lead trades, subcontractors and site teams with a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency
* Work closely with senior leadership to align on budgets, timelines and delivery expectations
* Drive consistency in construction standards across all projects
* Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and workforce stability
* Support the development of scalable systems and processes to enable future growth
* Represent the business professionally on site and with key stakeholders
About you
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or Construction Manager
* Strong residential construction background, with medium-density experience preferred
* Confident managing trades and subcontractors directly
* Calm, solutions-focused and able to deliver outcomes without unnecessary noise
* Values-driven with pride in workmanship and accountability
* Strategic mindset with the ability to think beyond the immediate project
