Head, Education Services – University of Sydney

Full time, fixed term until 30 September 2027

About the opportunity

Key responsibilities

* Oversee the management of education support services, ensuring education and teaching objectives are met.
* Monitor education support operations, identify opportunities for efficiency gains and promote collaboration to optimise service delivery.
* Identify strategic education support needs, implement improvements to address challenges, and contribute to the development, review, and reform of academic programs.
* Champion compliance, ensuring reporting, legislative and accreditation requirements are met.
* Manage the performance and development of technical staff, including conducting performance reviews, facilitating professional development, and overseeing career management.

About you

* Possess postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field or have equivalent training or professional experience.
* Has a strong track record of achievement in a comparable position overseeing education support services, ensuring the achievement of education and teaching objectives.
* Possessing expertise in staff supervision, training, mentoring, and performance management.
* Strong understanding of the policy development process, governance arrangements and administrative decision-making in a University or other tertiary education sector context.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
