Events Coordinator

About the Role
As our Events Coordinator, you will lead the planning, promotion, and delivery of a diverse calendar of community and fundraising events that strengthen HMRI's relationships with its donors, volunteers, and supporters.
Reporting to the Community Fundraising Specialist, you'll work closely with internal teams, community groups, and the HMRI Foundation Events Committee to deliver exceptional experiences that support HMRI's philanthropic, engagement, and outreach goals.
This is a dynamic, community-facing role, with some events taking place outside standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and manage all aspects of fundraising and stewardship events, including logistics, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate event promotion, including advertising, content development, speaker liaison, and digital presence.
• Prepare event briefs and ensure risk assessments are completed.
• Analyse event performance and return on investment to inform continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and engagement data using HMRI's CRM.
• Represent HMRI at public and community events.
About You
• Tertiary qualifications in Events, Marketing, Project Management or a related field (desirable).
• Demonstrated experience managing fundraising or corporate events from end to end.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work to deadlines and budgets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work autonomously.
• Full driver's licence and willingness to work flexible hours as required.
