More about the role:
We're looking for a First Nations Partnership Manager to join our team to manage key First Nations partnerships and projects. This is a newly created, First Nations Identified position.
Main responsibilities include:
Building strong engagement and relationships with a wide range of First Nations stakeholders to support high-quality project outcomes
Supporting partnerships and projects to achieve agreed outcomes and within agreed timeframes
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals
Managing and tracking project risks, ensuring proactive mitigation and contingency planning
Performing general administrative tasks to meet partnership and project needs
Contributing to the development of broader project and program planning within the Nursing Program team
The successful candidate will also need to be available to travel interstate on a regular basis.
What you bring to the role:
Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the First Nations health sector and health policy environment and the intersections between the cancer sector, nursing and health services including Aboriginal Community Control and Closing the Gap. They have demonstrated experience working with First Nations peoples and communities, with a clear understanding of the priorities and aspirations of First Nations peoples and communities with a special focus on improving cancer outcomes, including advocating and self-determination principles.
