Health Information Services Clerk
Temporary Part Time - 16 hours per week until 02/05/2026
The Health Information Services Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of incoming and outgoing medical records and for ensuring all health information documents are filed accurately and in a timely manner. This position will action valid release of information requests as appropriate and respond to queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
The role also involves supporting the Health Information Services Manager in processing queries, handling medico-legal aspects, and maintaining confidentiality of information within the department at all times.
What's required?
Essential
* Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications
* Previous administration/clerical experience
* Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work and manage competing priorities
* Flexibility, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and confidentiality
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable
* Experience in Health Information Services or Medical Administration
* Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Knowledge of Privacy Principles and the Health Records Act
