Business Development Manager – Automation & Innovation
National Role | $150k + Incentives
This company is an Australian-owned business with over 130 years of history, now entering an exciting new phase of growth in automation and robotics. As hospitals across Australia accelerate investment in AGV/AMR solutions, this senior sales role has been created to own and develop this market nationally.
This is not a generalist sales role. It will suit someone who already understands how hospitals buy, who the real decision-makers are, and how to navigate complex, long-cycle procurement environments.
The Role
As Business Development Manager – Automation & Innovation, you will be responsible for:
* Developing and executing a national sales strategy for AGV/AMR solutions within the hospital sector
* Building and leveraging senior-level relationships with hospital executives, operations, facilities, and procurement leaders
* Clearly articulating the operational, financial, and clinical benefits of automation
* Managing and winning complex tenders, from opportunity identification through to contract award
* Owning the market end-to-end, with autonomy to shape how the company grows in this space
About You
You will have:
* Strong, demonstrable history selling into hospitals, with an existing network that can be leveraged quickly
* Proven success managing long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
* Experience selling automation, robotics, or complex technical/capital solutions (or similar industry)
* The ability to sell outcomes and value, not just products
* At least 5 years' experience in relevant B2B sales roles
