This is a full-time position and would suit an experienced Assistant Accountant wanting to be supported in the next step in their career. About the opportunity: The successful applicant will work in a fast paced and busy environment across our many brands and dealerships, gaining experience in working for an expansive, publicly listed company. You will undertake the below: Perform deal processing functions and cost accounting activities Allocate funds and manage receivables accurately and efficiently Reconcile manufacturer factory statements in line with company procedures Prepare and post general journal entries Conduct extensive balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy Assist with the preparation and requirements for external audits Complete manufacturer-specific financial reporting within required timeframes Provide day-to-day support to the Accountant Contribute to finance-related projects as directed by the Financial Controller Maintain effective communication with Group Managers and employees across various departments within the business About you: Success in this role requires outstanding problem solving ability, highly developed communication skills, and the confidence to make decisions and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You will demonstrate: An experienced Assistant Accountant or Graduate Accountant, ideally with a background in the automotive industry or a fast-paced retail environment Currently studying towards a degree in Accounting or Finance or recent graduate Automotive dealership experience is highly desirable Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level) Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills Benefits: This is an exciting opportunity for someone who values growth, contribution, and the opportunity to build a meaningful career.
