What You'll Be Doing
* Partner with colleagues the Head of Broking to achieve new business targets and execute strategic business development initiatives.
* Identify, manage and convert new business opportunities—delivering sound insurance advice to clients and prospects.
* Coach and inspire a small team of business development professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Design and manage BD campaigns, including scheduling, pipeline analysis, strike rate tracking and campaign reporting.
* Represent MBIB at industry events, strengthening relationships and promoting the brand.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters to ensure competitive, effective insurance solutions.
* Oversee onboarding and handover of new accounts, ensuring regular activity reporting and client satisfaction.
About You
* Proven experience in insurance broking or commercial underwriting is essential—exposure to the construction industry is highly regarded although not essential
* You thrive in business development roles, especially within association, affinity, or general business channels.
* Skilled in campaign-based sales programs, with a strong commercial and strategic mindset.
* Tier 1 qualifications (or equivalent) are highly desirable.
* A natural leader—your energy inspires your team and you draw strength from their success.
