Join Kennedys as an Accounts Payable Officer - Casual Ongoing Role | Sydney

Kennedys is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our friendly Sydney Finance team on a casual ongoing basis, starting ASAP.

At Kennedys, our Finance team plays a crucial role in supporting the firm globally by delivering timely, accurate financial and management information, innovative reporting solutions, and operational support - all to maintain our exceptional service standards for both internal and external clients worldwide.

About The Team

You'll be part of a skilled and collaborative Finance team that includes the Head of Finance - APAC, Finance Manager, Financial Accountant, Credit Controller, Billing Specialist, and three Finance Administrators. This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with our local Sydney team and liaise with colleagues in the UK.

What You'll Be Doing


* Generating ad-hoc reports from Elite as requested by the Finance Manager
* Identifying deposits in the Trust Account and advising the relevant Partner
* Processing Trust payments accurately and promptly
* Handling general finance administration and data entry tasks
* Managing accounts payable efficiently
* Responding to finance queries from across the business
* Supporting credit control activities
* Creating and managing new vendor records in Elite
* Providing occasional support for Elite billing queries from secretarial staff and fee earners

What We're Looking For
* Prior experience with Elite and Chrome River is highly desirable
* Proven track record in a similar finance role within legal or professional services environments
* Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail
* Ability to follow instructions meticulously while being a proactive team player
* Strong communication skills, with a confident phone manner and clear writing abilities
* Solid IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel
