**The opportunity**
Coregas has an opportunity for a Business Development Specialist to join our team at our Thomastown, Victoria site. The duties will include:
- Managing business relationships with existing accounts and generating new business opportunities to continuously achieve sales budgets through providing solution-based technical sales.
- Assessing customer needs and providing gas management solutions to your customer group by assessing the most cost-effective products that support their business requirements and recommending technical solutions to attain maximum equipment performance and safety.
- Maintaining relationships and regular contact with customers and vendors to ensure they are informed about market trends, new technology and innovations within the business by attending industry meetings, seminars, and training.
- Developing a customer contact schedule by incorporating regular customer site visits and call schedules to ensure customers are satisfied with the products and services provided and proactively resolve customer issues.
- Utilise your technical expertise to grow your allocated territory by continuously identifying prospective client businesses and opportunities.
- Develop a schedule for visiting prospective client businesses to establish new business relationships that are commercially profitable by quoting and negotiating business terms, contractual agreements and pricing strategies.
- Arranging for the delivery of goods, installation of equipment and the provision of services and following this up with internal stakeholders such as supply chain, site managers and customer service as required.
- Monitoring customers' changing needs and competitor activity and including this in monthly sales reporting activities, along with sales targets and product issues.
- Additional operational tasks may include visiting customer sites to conduct gas cylinder or safety audits as required.
The basic rate will be between $80,000 to $95,000 + superannuation.
