We're seeking a dedicated Youth Care Professional to join our Residential Care Program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing top-tier physical and emotional care, as well as unwavering support to children and young people aged 10-17.
Working in this role requires resilience, compassion, and a commitment to the growth and well-being of our clients. You'll work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care, implement current best practice interventions, and serve as a positive role model for young people.
Key responsibilities include managing household duties, providing nutritious meals, and creating a safe and nurturing home environment. As a key member of our team, you'll also contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring each child receives tailored support and guidance.
Required skills and qualifications:
* Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, prioritizing the best interests of the young person
* Strong communication skills, active listening, and commitment to maintaining professional boundaries
* Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multitask with ease
* Creative thinking and non-judgmental approach to life
* Driver's license (minimum green P's) is essential for transporting young people
* Minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification required
