Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, in compliance with all applicable legislation, awards, and internal policies.
This role supports the finance team with various accounts processing tasks, including reconciliations, reporting, and general financial administration.
Maintaining accurate employee and financial records, supporting audit and reporting obligations, and contributing to the efficient operation of our payroll and accounts systems are key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process payroll on a fortnightly basis.
* First point of contact for payroll queries, including questions on staff entitlements and deductions.
* Maintain the payroll system and employee records.
* Assist with Accounts Payable and Receivable.
* Provide back-up support during peak times.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need previous extensive experience in payroll processing.
You should be proficient in using payroll and accounting software, with prior experience in WageEasy, Deputy, and Xero being highly desirable.
A strong understanding of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Superannuation Guarantee, and Single Touch Payroll reporting requirements is also essential.
