Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Cairns, QLD. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for shade sails and tensile membrane projects, collaborating with clients to understand their requirements, and ensuring cost-effective solutions. Duties include analyzing project specifications, sourcing material costs, preparing budgets and quotes, and working closely with the design, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure alignment with project goals. Additionally, the Estimator will support with resource planning and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
Proficiency in estimating, budgeting, and cost analysis for construction or similar industries
Strong knowledge of architectural design, materials, and manufacturing processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Excel, estimating software, and project management systems
Experience in or familiarity with architectural shade sails or tensile membrane structures would be an advantage
Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred
