Solution Architect – Core Data Platforms Build high-impact solutions for a dynamic data-driven organisation We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join Suncorp’s Core Data Platforms squad and help deliver critical capabilities using Databricks and modern cloud technologies. This is your opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-scale solutions that drive business outcomes across multiple portfolios. You’ll collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, designing end-to-end architectural solutions aligned with strategic goals, while staying ahead of emerging technologies and best practices. What you’ll do Define solution architectures across current, transitional, and future states Lead the design and integration of Databricks solutions for Core Data Platforms Champion reuse, scalability, security and compliance in every design Provide technical leadership to project teams and ensure architecture alignment Mentor architects and analysts while collaborating with vendors and partners Contribute to architectural standards and continuous improvement initiatives Influence IT strategy and technology roadmaps through expert insight What you’ll bring Proven experience in solution architecture, ideally within financial services Minimum 5 years in IT, with 3 years in architecture or design roles Strong knowledge of Databricks, cloud platforms, data architecture, and APIs Experience architecting using cloud-based data platforms Background in software design, agile methodologies, and enterprise architecture frameworks TOGAF certification or equivalent (preferred) Excellent communication and consulting skills with stakeholders at all levels Ability to work across multiple squads, balancing business outcomes and technical depth Experience with any of the following technologies or environments is highly desirable: AWS, DBT, Fivetran, Redshift, cloud hosting, cloud infrastructure What You’ll Enjoy A range of flexible working and leave options, including 20 weeks paid parental leave, 4 weeks paid secondary carer parental leave and unlimited paid emergency response leave Discounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance products Give back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leave Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs; and Prioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee council At Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
