IT Application Developer - Cloud / Node.js / TypeScript

Are you a highly skilled IT Application Developer with deep expertise in cloud-native application development, Node.js, and TypeScript? We are seeking an experienced professional to join a large enterprise-level data and analytics team delivering modern, scalable, and resilient digital services.
About the Role
In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver high-quality cloud-native applications supporting a range of enterprise services. You will lead end-to-end development using:
* TypeScript / JavaScript
* Node.js
* Modern API & microservice architectures
You will architect, build, and optimise scalable solutions using a wide range of AWS services, while applying best‐practice engineering including TDD, automated testing, and containerised development.
You will also contribute to API governance, high-level design decisions, and play a key role in mentoring developers and uplifting engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end solution design, build, deployment, and evaluation
* Develop high-throughput, high-availability applications
* Lead API/microservice design standards (contracts, versioning, error handling)
* Apply TDD and define testing strategies (unit, integration, contract)
* Deliver containerised applications and microservices
* Implement cloud-native architectures focusing on resilience, security, and scalability
Skills & Experience
Technical Proficiency
* Strong experience with TypeScript (preferred) or JavaScript
* Advanced Node.js development including performance optimisation
* API & microservice design and governance
* Unit testing frameworks (Mocha, Chai)
AWS Expertise in
* ECS
* ECR
* S3
* CloudWatch
