Project Cost Controller and Finance Analyst
A Day in the Life of a Project Cost Controller and Finance Analyst
We are seeking a candidate with project controlling and contract management experience, particularly in managing project budgets and claims. Experience in construction, engineering, energy management or similar industries is ideal.
* Set up projects in SAP and ensure accurate financial data recording.
* Monitor project budgets to stay within allowances.
* Forecast costs using the POC method with input from Project Managers and address uncertainties promptly.
* Forecast project cashflows monthly and manage currency risks and tax issues.
* Facilitate monthly cost reviews and analyze key budget variances.
* Assist Project Manager with risk and opportunity register and take necessary actions.
* Prepare and raise payment claims as per contract requirements.
* Support Project Manager with purchase requisitions, orders, and other commercial project topics.
About the Role
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Accounting or related fields such as Project Accounting/Project Management. A double degree in IT would be an added advantage.
* Minimum 3-5 years' experience in financial controlling and administration of complex projects.
* Good understanding of project management principles.
* Ability to work under pressure and adhere to project timelines.
* Structured approach to problem solving.
* SAP experience or any other large ERP system.
* Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
* Full working rights in Australia.
