What We Are Looking For
Are you passionate about working within the community to create a better environment? Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to maintain and upgrade Council Infrastructure? As a Flying Gang team member, you will play a key role in ensuring the upkeep and enhancement of Council Infrastructure, contributing to the maintenance of well-kept public spaces.
The ideal candidate will possess construction maintenance experience, the ability to inspect and report on hazards, good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multitask while working effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail.
What Your Day Will Look Like
* Carry out civil, landscape and asset maintenance works
* Assist with footpaths, pavements, drainage and concrete works
* Operate and maintain light plant, tools and equipment
* Install traffic control and pedestrian signage as required
* Inspect worksites and public areas, identifying hazards and defects
* Complete timesheets, basic records and reporting

What You'll Need For Success
* White Card (General Construction Induction)
* Current MR Driver's Licence
* Experience in construction, maintenance or outdoor labouring
* Ability to identify, report and respond to hazards
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work under general supervision and meet timelines
* Strong teamwork skills and self-motivation
What's Nice To Have
* Certificate III in Construction, Landscaping, Horticulture or Carpentry
* Chainsaw Level I certification
* Traffic Management Implementation Level II
* SWNELP accreditation
* Experience operating light plant and rigid vehicles
