Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to provide engineering and project management support to our Midstream Operations based on Curtis Island, Gladstone.
This is a permanent, site-based role supporting the delivery of brownfield and operational projects reporting to the Project Manager, working a 9-day fortnight roster.
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will work closely with site teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This is a hands-on, site-based role offering the opportunity to live and work locally in the Gladstone region.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Complete material take-off and execute procurement.
* Tendering/Estimating and methodology development.
* Perform project control functions - scheduling, cost control including managing performance against budget and developing variations where required.
* Contract administration of assigned projects.
* Develop work packages for field teams to execute including all necessary QA documentation, development of ITPs and associated check sheets.
* Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve any project management issues.
What you will bring
* Site based experience in the Oil and Gas industry highly regarded.
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering Mechanical.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications including 3D Models, GAs, Isometrics and P&IDs.
* Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project).
* Strong understanding of project management principles.
* A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
* Ideally, experience working in an on-site engineering position, servicing the resources sector
