**About the role**
The role of the Smart City Project Officer is to help achieve the City's smart city vision by delivering agreed smart technology and city innovation projects on schedule, to scope and to budget

Key responsibilities include:

- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, budget and reporting of ambitious and beyond the curve initiatives, that solve problems using new technologies and rollout of visionary ideas.
- Provide accurate advice and guidance in the form of written reports, presentations and verbal advice to the Senior Manager, organisation and Council clients on a range of smart city matters as and when directed
- Day-to-day management and execution of all project aspects including technical efforts, communication, risk management, issues management, costs, budget, reporting, procurement, go-live and quality.
- Identify, engage and manage key stakeholder relationships across the organisation ensuring customer requirements and change requests are managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all relevant legal and statutory requirements are met and that appropriate standards of data accuracy, content and quality are maintained

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business or Public Administration
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Demonstrated extensive experience managing large projects which require entrepreneurial spirit and desire to work in a dynamic and largely uncharted environment.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, working with complex and/or challenging internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly developed partnering and networking skills with a proven track record in liaising and building effective relationships with government, non-government and community organisations
