We are seeking a skilled Sterilization Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective preparation and sterilization service using high standards of skills and procedures.

* Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments according to accepted methods and principles.

* Process equipment for transfer to an external sterilizing unit as necessary.

* Maintain a sound knowledge of surgical instruments and packaging techniques.

This is a permanent part-time position available with flexibility in contracting hours. If you have experience working in a clinical or healthcare background, practical interpersonal and communication skills, and a Certificate III in Sterilization Services, we would like to hear from you.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A demonstrated understanding of infection control principles.
">
* Basic computer skills.
">
* A background working in a clinical or healthcare environment.
">
* Practical interpersonal and communication skills.
">
* Exposure to sterilization services in a healthcare environment.
">
* Certificate III in Sterilization Services or the ability to provide evidence of working towards attainment within the first six months.

* Previous experience in a CSSD role with the ability to work in all areas with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
