About this role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Court Security Manager to join our team in Carnarvon, WA. This is a rare opportunity for a qualified individual to work as part of our on-going contract with the Department of Justice.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an effective and efficient court operation, providing vital support and assistance to the management team. This will include ensuring the correct deployment of staff across the region and managing the day-to-day performance of the Deputy Court Security Manager and Court & Custody Officers.
Key responsibilities include liaising with Court Officials to ensure contractual requirements are met, inspecting and monitoring court operations, and delivering a high standard of service delivery while maintaining staff and PiC welfare, safety, and security.
We require a Certificate III in Corrective Practice or related field, control and restraint qualifications, senior first aid and CPR, and demonstrated ability to read and interpret correspondence, legislations, and regulations. Proven experience in a leadership role and a collaborative management style are essential. We also require a high level of computer skills and report writing, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Mandatory Requirements
* Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen
* Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Federal Police Check, Criminal History Check, and Working with Children Check
* Ability to complete 6-weeks full-time training in Perth prior to start in Carnarvon (flights and accommodation provided)
* Undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test
* Manual Driving Licence - Desirable (HR, MR licence or F Extension category highly desirable for operating vehicles carrying passengers)
* Willingness to travel (road and air)
* Ability to maintain a reasonable level of fitness to undertake the inherent requirements of the role

* $107,431 Total fixed remuneration (Base Salary + Super)
* $5,943 extra Per Annum Regional Allowance
