St Patrick's Primary School, Cessnock, is on the lookout for the next Library Assistant; this is a permanent part time position, working 6 hours a day on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
Job Description
The School Officer/Library Assistant:
* As a member of the library team, works to support teachers and students utilising Library facilities and resources
* As a member of the school team, works to support nominated staff in the performance of their duties
Desired Skills and Experience
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
* Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools
* Recent experience working in a school library including working knowledge of OLIVER cataloguing system
* Knowledge of WHS requirements in a library setting
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to show initiative, work alone or as part of a team
* A flexible approach to completion of tasks with frequent interruptions
QUALIFICATIONS
* ALIA accredited qualification, preferably at the diploma level
* Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
* Completion of anaphylaxis training
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
