THE ROLE
The Signal Group is one of Australia's largest staff identification and branded merchandise providers. Based from our manufacturing facility and distribution centre in South-East Queensland, we service clients Australia wide, supplying customised name badges, personal and ID security solutions, awards, trophies, promotional products, workwear, apparel, headwear and signage.
In this role you will focus on name badges, personal and ID Security solutions customer service and sales, providing on time and accurate quoting, price maintenance, order entry and product sourcing and supply. The role will entail servicing many existing clients but also will involve targeting new clients.
Key responsibilities will include;
* Sales performance and growth.
* Accurate order entry and invoicing of customer orders.
* Timely response to telephone and e-mail queries & opportunities.
* On time and properly costed quotations.
* Achieve budgeted sales and trading margin contribution targets.
* Maintain and update customer product ranges and prices in ERP and portal systems.
* Develop strategies to further advance organic growth.
* Onboarding customers for successful ordering via our dedicated portals.
* Meet regularly with management to discuss contracts, field work, growth opportunities and opposition activities in the territory.
* Understand reporting needs and proficiency.
* Liaise with the team leader to prepare an annual budget by client.
YOUR BACKGROUND
* Previous experience in retail, merchandise, apparel, safety and or promotional products would be ideal, but not essential
* Proven customer service experience – high volume of transactions and customers.
* B2B customer base success & understanding, winning new business and achieving sales targets
* Sales reporting and territory planning experience.
* Strong sales disciplines and communication skills.
* Strong relationship builder – all progress is made through relationships
* Ability to identify business ideas and strategies to increased sales.
