We are now seeking an experienced and highly capable Sales Manager – Automation to lead growth initiatives across the Australian mining market. This role requires a skilled sales professional with a proven ability to build relationships, manage complex sales cycles, and deliver measurable commercial results.
Your Role
In this role, you will make a significant impact by leading the growth of FLANDERS' automation portfolio across existing and emerging markets. You are a motivated, data‑driven sales professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence at all levels.
Leading
* Developing and growing a strong sales pipeline across current and future customer bases, including proactive prospecting and cold outreach.
* Driving targeted sales campaigns to expand our Australian customer footprint.
* Owning and updating weekly sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
* Achieving quarterly and annual sales targets.
* Providing account updates, forecasts, and insights to local and global sales leadership.
Creating
* Building best‑practice sales processes and frameworks, often from the ground up, and delivering against agreed KPIs.
* Increasing brand and product awareness through trade shows, expos, and large‑scale industry events.
* Establishing and maintaining senior‑level customer relationships.
* Crafting compelling value propositions for executive decision‑makers.
* Maintaining competitive knowledge of the automation and machine learning landscape.
* Driving new business opportunities across Australia.
* Fostering a culture of creative problem‑solving and tailored customer solutions.

Your Background & Experience
To be successful, you will bring a combination of technical capability, sales expertise, and industry understanding.
Essential Requirements
* Strongly data‑driven, analytical sales approach.
* Tertiary qualification, ideally in a technical discipline.
* Experience within mining, across either surface or underground operations.
* Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
* Proven field‑based business development experience in mining across the region.
* Understanding of predictive/prescriptive maintenance and reliability risk assessment (preferred).
* Experience with automation solutions in engineering environments.
* Capability to balance prospecting, new business activity, and management of key accounts.
* Experience navigating complex sales cycles, including partner involvement.
* Self‑starter with high discipline, able to perform in dynamic or unstructured environments.
* Strong consultative influencing skills with senior and C‑suite stakeholders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
