Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and development of Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG) systems for optimal performance and manufacturability
* Develop and scale up FOG manufacturing processes for high-volume production
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hardware, software, and production efforts
* Analyse and troubleshoot test data to continuously enhance FOG performance
* Establish efficient test processes and tooling for fibre optic coils
* Guide production engineering teams with metrics, SPC implementation, and technical support
* Stay current with technological advancements in photonics and inertial navigation
* Maintain a strong focus on customer needs and application performance in demanding environments
Desirable Skills and Attributes
* Bachelor\'s or Master\'s in Physics, Optics, Photonics, or Electrical Engineering
* Proven expertise in Fiber Optic Gyroscopes and their underlying principles (e.g. Sagnac effect)
* Experience in designing and integrating electro-optical systems
* Deep knowledge of light sources, optical fibers, modulators, and detectors
* Familiarity with scaling up precision manufacturing processes
* Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
* Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving ability
Desirable
* PhD in a related field
* Background in defence, aerospace, or autonomous systems
* Exposure to inertial navigation algorithms and modeling tools
* Training in root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D methodologies
