This is a challenging role that requires an experienced professional to support pre-sales and walk-in enquiries, prepare accurate estimates, and assist with tender submissions. As a key member of the sales team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all estimates align with project scopes, timelines, and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop detailed cost estimates and proposals for various communication systems, including two-ways, satellite, CCTV, data cabling, PTP links, towers, and related installations.
* Assist with walk-in sales and phone enquiries, providing exceptional customer service and technical input.
* Review project specifications, drawings, and bid documents to develop accurate estimates, ensuring compliance with requirements and deadlines.
* Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, obtaining pricing and technical details, and updating pricing databases.
* Support tender submissions, ensuring all requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to.
* Contribute to pre-sales efforts and customer engagement by providing technical input during the sales cycle.
* Follow-up and convert accepted estimates into jobs for scheduling, maintaining strong client relationships.
* Schedule site visits as required, utilizing a valid driver's license.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience as a Sales Estimator, preferably in the communications industry.
* Strong technical understanding of communication systems, including RF industry knowledge, Analogue & Digital radio systems, PTP, and PTMP design and deployment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar software, with ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills, with a self-motivated, reliable, and professional approach.
