Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team in Adelaide, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a landmark project that showcases sovereign excellence in design and manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have experience in interpreting technical drawings, fabricating components, and operating tools such as shears, breaks, rollers, riveters, and hand forming tools. They will also be proficient in MIG/TIG welding and tacking of sheet metal assemblies.
This is a dynamic role that requires individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are alike. The successful candidate must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, as well as work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
* Interpret and fabricate components from detailed technical drawings, work orders, and job cards
* Operate tools such as shears, breaks, rollers, riveters, and hand forming tools to shape and assemble metal parts
* Work with aluminium, stainless steel, and other alloys to tight tolerances typical of aircraft or high-precision industries
* Drilling, deburring, edge preparation, and precision timing
* MIG/TIG welding and tacking of sheet metal assemblies
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Trade qualification in fabrication, welding, or related fields
* Welding certifications highly regarded
* Previous experience as a sheet metal fabricator or welder in manufacturing, fabrication, or aerospace
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
