Role: Senior Financial Analyst
The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Boeing Defence Australia Finance team. This role consists of project cost control management and reporting to support projects across the BDA Portfolio. Responsibilities
1. Provide high-level support to the Finance team and collaboration with the Project and scheduling teams.
2. Analysis of Cost and Schedule performance, communicate financial insights and project status to internal and external stakeholders.
3. Development and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with cost account managers
4. Develop and maintain financial models, comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor project performance.
5. Ensure financial compliance and accuracy in collaboration with project teams.
6. Support the month end process with the required journals and reconciliations, including all required reporting.
7. Support estimating and pricing activities
8. Recognizing areas for continuous Improvement as well as participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Training and mentoring of other staff within the team
Experience/Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally have sound knowledge across some/all of the following areas:
10. Bachelor Degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforce
11. Relevant experience in a project accounting, management accounting or cost control role
12. Advanced Excel Skills - Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, PowerPivot, and dashboard management.
13. Ability to adapt to different situations, be proactive and organise priorities autonomously to meet deadlines
14. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders
15. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial aspects of diverse projects.
16. Experience in Estimating and Pricing of varying complexity
17. Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and experience in the use of Earned Value Management Systems for project financial management.
