Our client Access Mercantile has a exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of People and Culture to join its team in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This role is part time 3 days per week with flexible working options with the view to increase to FT hours in 12 months.
The Head of People and Culture will work closely with the Senior Leadership team and within consultation to departmental leaders and managers in order to support the business's vision, mission, and overall objectives. This role will manage the end to end employee experience from recruitment and selection, onboarding, engagement and retention. You have the prospect to implement strategies to drive culture and support the overall business growth and success.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ownership of partner contracts and delivery performance
- Provide coaching and support to people leaders in effectively leading teams and guiding them towards effective people management practices
- Develop and provide recommendations and inititiatives that embody and drive the desired people and culture environment
- Collaborate with peers and leadership team to deliver seamless and tailored solutions to meet business needs aligned to strategic objectives
- Develop, monitor and analyze key people metrics eg employee engagement and satisfaction
- Manage and execute key human resource projects and initiatives to achieve outcomes of the People Strategy vision
- Design and implement WHS Policies and Procedures across the organisation
- Provide high level advise and guidance on safety issues and queries
- All administration and management of OH&S; claims and HR and ER matters
- Conduct reporting across WHS metrics

- Minimum of 5 years management level in Human Resources

- Experience with credit functions, finance, and accounting, and understanding of business drivers ideal
