Permanent Full Time (1.0 EFT ADO) Managers and Administrative Workers Grade 4 Located at The Alfred Great Staff Benefits About us The Digital Health Division is responsible for enabling clinical staff to deliver timely, quality care to our patients and carers through innovative use of information technologies, and through strategic management of information and data across the organisation. The Digital Health division encompasses all aspects of: Information technology procurement, delivery, security and support. Electronic Medical Record and a suite of Clinical Applications, Technologies and Products Digital Technology Data Governance and research Cybersecurity Digital Health Strategy and Transformation About the role This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that enhance the functionality and efficiency of Oracle Health’s Cerner Millennium PathNet and associated systems. The role focuses on implementing robust, scalable tools, programs, and applications that support clinical and operational pathology workflows and reporting across the organisation. As part of an integrated EMR, this position may work in crossfunctional teams to support the delivery of solutions across broader portfolios. Key responsibilities include the development of system-wide improvements for pathology reporting and workflows, participating in high-impact projects, and maintaining good relationships across varied stakeholders to ensure the Laboratory Information System remains robust and scalable. This role may be required to work on-site at any of the main and branch site laboratories and collection centres distributed across multiple health services and geographic locations including, but not limited to, Bayside Health, Western Health, Monash Health, and other health services that Bayside Health provide service for. About you Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, a related field or equivalent experience. Significant experience in programming with Cerner Command Language (CCL) and SQL Deep understanding of the Cerner Millennium Data Model and suite of applications Experience in version control and change management concepts. Working knowledge of HL7 integration engines and tools, including Rhapsody and Mirth. Extensive experience in some or all of: C#, C, Java, HTML, XML, JavaScript, VBScript, Python Understanding of pathology laboratory environments Excellent oral and written communication skills Certification in Oracle Health’s Cerner Millennium applications Certified Health Informatician Australasia (CHIA) or equivalent Experience working in an ITIL-based support environment with a focus on continuous improvement Benefits Salary Packaging & Novated Leasing through Maxxia.
