About the role We are seeking a proactive and people‑centered Human Resources Advisor to join our People & Culture team on a 12-month maximum-term contract. In this role, you will provide trusted HR advice, coaching and support to leaders and employees across assigned portfolios, ensuring contemporary, compliant and solutions‑focused HR practices are consistently delivered. You will work closely with people leaders to support employee relations, performance and conduct matters, while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organizational policies. Key tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to: Providing informed advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employment legislation, and industrial relations matters. Supporting managers with employee grievances, performance management, disciplinary matters, fitness for work, and workers’ compensation issues. Partnering with leaders to proactively manage employee relations and foster a positive team culture. Interpreting and applying the Health Professionals and Support Services Award and WAPHA Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance. Maintaining accurate personnel records and documentation within the Oracle HRIS. Assisting managers with job design, drafting position descriptions, and role evaluation using the Mercer CED methodology. Identifying emerging workforce trends and collaborating with stakeholders to implement people ‑ focused business solutions. Developing, reviewing, and promoting HR policies and procedures aligned with legislative and organisational requirements. Providing timely HR advice on terms and conditions of employment. Maintaining strong relationships across the organisation and representing People & Culture as a trusted advisor. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Essential A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management (or a related discipline) Experience in a similar HR advisory role. Sound knowledge and ability to interpret employment legislations, industrial instruments and the Fair Work Act. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation. High level of professionalism, discretion and confidence in handling sensitive and confidential information. Ability to work independently use sound judgement, initiative and competing priorities.
