About the role
Passionate about Homewares and Merch Planning? My client are a flat structured business with a well-known brand name looking for a current team member to enhance the Furniture & Rugs category across Australia.
Duties
Huge focus on collaboration with cross-functional teams, including buying, marketing, and supply chain
Manage the Open-to-Buy process and provide recommendations for markdowns, promotions, and stock re-distribution.
Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to forecast demand and create accurate sales and inventory plans.
Develop and execute merchandise planning strategies ensuring optimal inventory levels and assortment mix.
Monitor product performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose actionable strategies to maximize sales and minimize risks.
Conduct regular analysis and reporting on key merchandising metrics, including sales, margin, inventory turns, and sell-through.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to identify emerging opportunities and recommend product assortment adjustments.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior merchandise planners and allocators.
