Forestry Logistics & Fire Manager Position

Depot/Office based with field operations
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Forestry Logistics & Fire Manager to be based out of our Orange, NSW depot. This is a leadership-focused role responsible for the day-to-day management of forestry operations, staff oversight, logistics coordination, and client engagement.
You will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and timely delivery of forestry and fire-related works, while also supporting business growth through strong client relationships and the ability to onboard new clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversight and daily management of forestry and fire operations
• Supervision, leadership, and coordination of field staff
• Logistics planning and operational scheduling
• Liaising directly with clients and stakeholders
• Supporting business development and onboarding new clients
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
• Working independently to deliver outcomes on time and to a high standard
Essential Requirements
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in the Australian forestry industry
• Forestry fire fighting/leadership experience
• Current full Australian driver's licence
• Proven four-wheel-drive experience
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage competing priorities
• Strong people skills with a professional approach to customer relations
• Demonstrated experience in logistics and operational management
Desirable (Nice to Have, Not Essential)
• Drone experience
• Strong technology and digital skill sets
• Experience with modern data capture or forestry technology platforms
