Executive Sous Chef – Museums Victoria Are you ready to make your mark in the culinary world, combining your passion for food with an inspiring cultural setting? The Fresh Collective in Melbourne is seeking a dynamic and innovative Executive Sous Chef to help lead our culinary team at Museums Victoria, delivering exceptional in and outside catering and events, as well as dining experiences in one of Melbourne's most iconic institutions. About Us: Museums Victoria is home to some of Australia’s most treasured collections and exhibitions. With multiple venues attracting visitors from across the globe, the aim is to provide not just awe-inspiring exhibits, but also THE go to venue for amazing functions and events, as well as great culinary experiences in the various restaurants on site. The Role: As the Executive Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Executive Chef to: Lead and inspire our kitchen teams focusing on our many amazing events as well as multiple onsite venues Assist in crafting creative, seasonal menus that reflect our diverse audience and vibrant community. Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory, budgeting, food safety and team training. What We’re Looking For: Demonstrated experience as a Head or Exec Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role. Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a high-performing team. Knowledge of food safety regulations and cost management. A collaborative attitude, with a commitment to excellence and creativity.
