As an Operations Support Technician, you'll be on the frontline of technical support for our multi‐utility sub‐metering and telemetry systems across electricity, water, gas, thermal energy, and BMS integration.
Your work ensures stable data delivery, system uptime, and smooth operation for our customers. You will diagnose issues, support commissioning, manage configurations, monitor system health, and collaborate closely with field technicians and customers.
This role is perfect for someone with strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a passion for continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing Technical Support & Troubleshooting
* Provide Level 1–2 support for meters, sensors, gateways, controllers, and network devices
* Diagnose faults in pulse, serial, digital, Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, LoRaWAN, TCP/IP and cellular comms
* Conduct remote diagnostics, configuration checks, data verification and log analysis
* Resolve customer access, API and application issues
* Monitor platform dashboards and data integrity
* Respond to incidents within SLAs and complete root cause analyses
* Maintain accurate incident records and documentation
Commissioning & Field Support
* Support meter configuration, functional testing and data validation
* Coordinate with field technicians and provide pre‐visit triage
* Assist with on‐site troubleshooting as needed
System Administration
* Manage configuration baselines, firmware updates and device provisioning
* Maintain device inventories and history
* Provide clear, friendly technical updates
* Support onboarding, training and platform queries
* Prepare incident summaries and service notifications
What You Bring
* 2–4 years' experience in technical support, commissioning, or field service
* Experience with utility metering (electricity, water, gas) is highly desirable
* Knowledge of cloud/SaaS platforms and IoT/telemetry systems
* Ability to analyse large data sets and work both independently & collaboratively
* \"Always Better\" mindset — continuously seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes
Technical Skills (ideal)
* Advanced Excel (Power Query, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
* SQL (querying & data manipulation)
* Python or R (bonus)
* Familiarity with ETL/data quality tools
* Experience with HubSpot, Jira, Zendesk, or similar systems
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Data, IT, or related fields
