About the Business
This organisation is a global FMCG food business with a long-term mindset and a portfolio of well-established brands sold across markets worldwide. It operates within a fast-moving, collaborative environment where execution, accuracy, and strong partnerships are critical to success.
About the Role
The VRP role acts as a key link between a global FMCG food business and a major national retail partner, with responsibility for managing replenishment and supply processes to ensure product availability across the partner's national distribution centre network.
Sitting within the supply chain function, the role focuses on building strong cross-functional and external partnerships, leading collaboration sessions with replenishment and sales teams to align on key executions and events, improve forecast accuracy, and manage inventory holdings to achieve optimal outcomes for both organisations.
Through data analysis, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives, you will identify opportunities to enhance service levels, streamline operations, and support the ongoing growth of the business within the retail network.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage DC-level replenishment plans, service levels, and inventory performance
* Align demand forecasts and customer order projections to support accurate execution
* Investigate and resolve supply and forecast exceptions, including system alerts and risk lines
* Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks and potential out-of-stocks
* Support promotional and event execution through effective forward planning
* Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to ensure forecast and execution alignment
* Partner with distribution and transport teams to support on-time delivery and service performance
* Build strong working relationships with customer replenishment teams and internal stakeholders
* Monitor performance and use data insights to drive continuous improvement
About You
You are a proactive, detail-oriented supply chain professional with strong analytical and communication skills. You bring a solid understanding of forecasting, inventory management, and replenishment principles, ideally gained within an FMCG environment.
Your experience as a Vendor Replenishment Planner, or in customer service, demand planning, sales planning, or supply planning, allows you to balance commercial and operational priorities effectively. You have a broad understanding of the retail and FMCG landscape and are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment.
You are confident analysing data, identifying issues, and proposing practical solutions that drive continuous improvement. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build trust and effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Highly organised and motivated, you can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential. Experience working with ERP systems and retail platforms such as CASS, SAP, EBI, RC, or fulfilment systems will be highly regarded.
