Role Title
Data Architecture Senior Manager/Associate Director
Group Description
The Data & AI Solution Architect is responsible for combining technical, commercial, and industry expertise to develop solutions to complex challenges aligned with business objectives and strategy. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand business problems and requirements, designing solutions including technical architectures, and guiding teams through implementation. The focus of this role is the Financial Services industry; deep domain expertise related to key industry challenges, data domains, and common technology systems and patterns is required.
Role Responsibilities
1. Lead cross-functional teams to understand client business problems and organizational strategy, and define solutions.
2. Design and document end-to-end architecture and solution designs, addressing specific use cases and creating reusable blueprints.
3. Lead implementation of designed architectures, collaborating closely with engineering teams, data scientists, and product owners to deliver business value incrementally, on time, with high quality and cost efficiency.
4. Mentor and coach junior architects to build capability.
5. Ensure solutions comply with data privacy, security, and governance standards.
6. Typically require 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
Key Skills
- Deep hands-on experience with data and AI architecture and engineering (professional certifications preferred).
- Experience with multiple data platforms and technologies (e.g., Google, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Teradata, Informatica).
- Expertise in infrastructure as code, DevOps, and DataOps for building secure, automated, and maintainable platforms.
- Ability to design for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Familiarity with contemporary architectural styles and patterns related to data and integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience leading multi-location teams.
- Enthusiastic about developing people, providing technical leadership and mentorship.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, capable of presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Interest in industry trends and emerging technologies for continuous improvement.
- Expertise in data modeling techniques, including Data Vault, and experience with tools like Erwin.
- Deep understanding of sector-specific data domains and models.
