Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Concrete Construction

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing concrete construction team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate project pricing, cost control, and efficient delivery of works.
You will be responsible for quantifying and estimating steel, concrete, and earthworks, supporting project planning and helping maintain profitability across all jobs.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for reinforcement steel, concrete volumes, and earthworks
· Review drawings, plans, and specifications to prepare accurate estimates
· Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions
· Liaise with project managers, supervisors, and suppliers for pricing
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies
· Assist with project budgeting and cost tracking
· Maintain up-to-date pricing for materials, labour, and plant
· Support procurement and scheduling where required
Skills & Experience
· Experience in concrete, civil, or construction estimating
· Minimum 3-5 years of estimating experience in concrete, civil, or construction projects
· Strong understanding of concrete pours, formwork, reinforcement detailing, and earthworks
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong Excel and/or estimating software skills
· Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software platforms
· Strong communication and organisational skills
Preferred Experience
· Background in a commercial construction environment
· Experience working within a commercial builder or subcontractor business
· Familiarity with commercial project delivery, tendering, and cost control processes
Salary & Package (Guide)
$110,000 – $130,000 What We Offer
